Temitayo Oluwole, the Head Prefect of Ijo Mimo High School in Akure, Ondo State, died at the weekend after falling from a mango tree within the school premises.
Oluwole was reported to have attended a tutorial class organised by the school for Senior Students on Saturday when the incident happened.
One of the teachers in the school had sent the deceased to pluck mangoes for him after the lesson, but he fell from the tree in the process.
It was gathered that Oluwole was the fourth student that would die mysteriously from climbing the mango tree whenever they were sent to pluck mangoes.
The bereaved father, Bode Adegoke, a cleric, appreciated the Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Femi Agagu, for instituting investigation into the incident. 📷: Triangle News Media
