A Nigerian lady has inspired many to dream big with her tale of perseverance, hard work and entrepreneurial spirit not minding the challenges one is faced with.

The lady identified as Faith Oyita, in an interview with BBC Pidgin, recounted how she used to hawk Okpa on the street from age 8.

At some point she resolved to learn shoemaking after coming to the realisation that hawking does not hold a future for her.

She went into shoemaking when she was 16 years old with the money she had saved from the N300 her mum gives her occasionally.

She also revealed that due to the poor background that she came from, she had to be a shoemaker for one year to save for her education.

According to Faith, when she approached the person who was going to teach her how to make and mend shoes, the cobbler thought she was unserious.
